A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Gabriel Wanous has been playing and recording music for over 20 years. The son of musicians, Gabriel began his musical journey early in his childhood learning the basics of piano and drums from his parents. But his interest in performing was ignited at age 12, when he received his first guitar. Gabriel evolved into a respected and popular musician performing with a number of rock and "jam" bands at clubs and college campuses throughout the Southeast. However, in 1996, after being recruited into music ministry by a close friend of the family, Gabriel found his true calling that forever changed his life: To be a vessel for God's truth through music.
In 2004, after coming to the realization that his efforts in ministry were contrary to his secular musical interests, Gabriel decided to focus solely on his calling in music ministry. He began writing music for the church and began playing various retreats, youth conferences, festivals, and other venues and released his first Christian album, "Sign Of The Cross."
